After a long flight, I was shocked by the chaotic check-in process that took over an hour, and the staff's lack of care was evident. I ended up in a crowded dorm with more beds than I requested-super frustrating!

I had a fantastic stay at the Portelli. The owner really goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and safe. I loved the capsule beds for added privacy and the lively atmosphere in the hostel. The free breakfast featuring warm, cheesy arepas was a good start to my day. Plus, it’s ideally located near bars and clubs in Chapinero, making it easy to enjoy the nightlife. The staff, especially Abraham and Alex, were attentive and gracious.

The room was cozy with a private bathroom and a lovely view of the city. As a family, we felt comfortable and safe, making it a great place to rest after a day exploring Bogota.
Some rooms had a slight odor, which might bother sensitive noses.
